1. State Route 1, Big Sur, California
Running through most of the Pacific coast in California, SR 1 epitomizes West Coast beauty, with crisp-clear ocean views and green valley-like landscapes.
2. The Trollstigen road, Norway
If you make it to the top, you’ll be rewarded with views of the Stigfossen waterfall, a 1,050-foot waterfall that tumbles over the mountains.
3. North Yungas Road, Bolivia
Although thick fog can obscure the beautiful greenery of North Yungas Road and its turns make it a dangerous journey, there are few more entrancing roads on earth thanks to the deep green beauty that surrounds the drive.
4. Transfagarasan Highway, Romania
This amazing road called the Transfagarasan Highway passes over the Fagaras mountains in Transylvania, Romania at 2000 metres.
5. Tianmen Mountain Road, China
Located in Tianmen Mountain National Park, this winding 11 km road brings visitors to the top of the mountain for some of the most beautiful sights they will ever experience.
6. The Valley of Fire Road, Nevada
It passes through beautiful red sandstone formations that look like they are on fire when reflecting the sun.
7. Rohtang Pass, India
A spectacular view of glaciers, peaks and rivers. Be warned — it’s also known for its massive landslides.
8. Furka Pass, Switzerland
As the setting for the James Bond film Goldfinger, this mountain pass in the Swiss Alps is a winding journey full of snow-tipped mountains and rolling green landscapes.
9. The Atlantic Road, Norway
If you drive in calmer weather, you might even see whales and seals. Thia road stretches across seven bridges and offers a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.

11. Guoliang Tunnel Road, China
One of the world's most dangerous roads -- it's been called the "road that does not tolerate any mistakes" since it first opened to traffic in 1977, high up in the Taihang Mountains of eastern China -- the Guoliang Tunnel Road is a tight squeeze, about 12 feet wide by 15 feet high.
12. Great Ocean Road, Australia
Home to rainforests, beautiful ocean views, national parks and the famously unique limestone stacks “Twelve Apostles“, Great Ocean Road is one of the most scenic in the world.
13. Chapman’s Peak Drive, South Africa
Its 114 curves means the five miles will require some attentive driving, but with views like this it’s well worth it.
14. Karakoram Highway, Pakistan
The Karakoram Highway is the highest paved international road in the world. It connects China and Pakistan across the Karakoram mountain range, through the Khunjerab Pass, at an elevation of 4,693 metres.
15. Seven Mile Bridge, Florida, United States
This famous bridge is located in the Florida Keys and was constructed between 1909 and 1912.
