The first trailer for Warcraft film has been released, debuting as part of the kickoff for Blizzcon, the annual celebration of Blizzard's major franchises. Warcraft is said to be an adaptation of the very first Warcraft game and the story follows the first war between the orcs and humans (though other races are rumoured to appear e.g dwarfs).
The long-running game franchise has since evolved to include various elven factions, undead armies, and drunken pandas — all of which would be good fodder for a trilogy. |

The film portrays the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs, with an emphasis upon both the Alliance's and the Horde's sides of their conflict. Featuring characters such as Durotan and Lothar, the film will take place in a variety of locations established in the video game series.
The interesting fact about this movie is that the director Uwe Boll contacted Blizzard about directing the film, but Blizzard refused. As quoted by MTV news Uwe Boll stated: "I got in contact with Paul Sams of Blizzard, and he said, 'We will not sell the movie rights, not to you... especially not to you. Because it's such a big online game success, maybe a bad movie would destroy that ongoing income, what the company has with it."
It is said that the two-time academy award winner Bill Westenhofer the lead visual effects supervisor for the film is a long time world of warcraft player and has mentioned getting up at 2am to raid with his guild while on film sets. Actor Rob Kazinsky is also a die hard Warcraft player and recalls producers telling him to turn the game off while on the set of Pacific Rim.
It's important to say his is the first time Legendary Pictures has officially debuted footage online. There was an extended preview at San Diego Comic-Con, but the best we could do at the time was draw you the footage. (It wasn't this trailer.)
Warcraft stars are Travis Fimmel (Vikings), Paula Patton, Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Dominic Cooper, and Ben Foster.
This movie will hit theaters June 2016.
Now, let's watch this very first trailer. Hope you will enjoy it!
